Pencil Reply is for the parent teaching kindergarten to 2nd grade, or an older kid who is catching up, at the kitchen table. Spelling, reading, writing and the rest of the basics, one week at a time, printed at home and read aloud.
Who it's for
You homeschool a kid somewhere between kindergarten and 2nd grade, or an older kid who is catching up. Maybe two at once, and maybe a little one who wants a test too.
You'd rather open a page and start than spend Sunday night planning. You want short lessons that fit a real morning, with the dog and the crumbs and whoever's still in pyjamas. And you want to see exactly what you're paying for before you pay it.
What we make
Open and go PDFs you print at home and teach straight from the page, in short lessons, with the planning already done.
Right now that's The Spelling Year: 36 weeks of homeschool spelling, a script for every day, and a Friday test that's the next chapter of a family treasure hunt your kid writes in pencil. It's $29 once for the whole year.
What you see before you buy
A Product's page shows its real pages, lists every file in it, says what you need to use it and says what it isn't. The Spelling Year's week 1 is free to print, all nine pages, and there's nothing to sign up for to get it.
Free things, when they're ready
When we make something free for kindergarten to 2nd grade, and older kids who are catching up, it goes out by email to anyone who asked. There's no schedule. It comes when there's something to send.
Printed week 1 already? The free series is what comes after it.
